Welcome to my new beginning. For almost the past two decades I have worked as a mental health therapist and vocational counselor, for various for-profit and non-profit agencies, at one point for NY state. I was someone else’s employee. There is something safe about being an employee. Steady paycheck, benefits, and the structure and foundation of the facilities where I worked. Now I am leaving that behind (an ending). I am going to work for me! I am starting a new beginning, and I am so excited about my new journey. My years of experience have prepared me, as I have worked with clients from all walks of life, facing all kinds of issues and nothing is going to surprise me 😉. I am ready to embrace the opportunity to create the space for therapy that is based on my vision. So, I am not just talking the talk. I am now walking the walk. I am chasing my dreams, embracing all the change, not giving into my fears and believing in the possibilities. I am being brave.

My blog is going to focus on therapeutic ideas and concepts that I have worked with clients over the years, which for the most part are universal. As humans we all deal with the same stuff. Only each post will be based off a quote, song lyric or saying that speaks to me. Quotes often create a visual representation of ideas or concepts.
