Individuals - Couples - Seminars

more love, more joy, more calm, more connection, more courage, more fun

Have you ever wanted to feel different but were unsure how to proceed? Choosing to engage in therapy is a decision that one makes for a variety of reasons, often when things become hard, when emotions are overwhelming and seem insurmountable. Maybe you feel ready to make a change, but are unsure how to start.

My perspective is that therapy is a collaborative process of personal exploration, helping people develop a healthy sense of self and more satisfaction in their lives and relationships.   I employ a direct, warm and compassionate style to create a positive working relationship in which individuals feel supported and empowered to make lasting changes.

Therapy can be a way to find more of what we want in life - more love, more joy, more calm, more connection, more courage and more fun - or whatever you are seeking.

THERAPY APPROACHES I USE

Working together we can address the challenges and identify alternate ways of thinking and behaviors that will lead to more fulfillment and joy.  I utilize solution-focused therapy practices when working with clients including CBT, DBT and Mindfulness to help clients increase confidence, calm, strength, and flexibility when dealing with life transitions.  You don't have to figure it out alone.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Taking that first step to engage in therapy can be scary.  Often, we know that things aren't the way we want them, but making changes is hard.  Having an unbiased, trained professional with whom to work though difficult issues might be what you need.

Sessions are 45 minutes' to an hour long.  I also offer an initial free 10 minute consultation.

I can meet people in person or online via HIPAA-compliant technology.  Click here to see how online therapy works.  I use online therapy extensively for expats - click here for more on therapy for expats.

COUPLES THERAPY

Relationships can be wonderful and bring us feelings of love and joy. Life has a way of impacting those relationships, not always in the most positive ways. As we deal with the stressors of life, often the way we interact in our relationships is strained or even pushed to limits, leaving us feeling less connected. Counseling can help couples explore their relationship together to address the conflict by gaining awareness of patterns of behavior, including communication, intimacy and sexual behavior. And sometimes, when necessary, counseling can help couples navigate the ending of their relationship.

Sessions are 45 minutes' to an hour long.  I also offer an initial free 10 minute consultation.
